Pipe Major Craig Irving is a local piper based in Gretna Green and the surrounding area—available for all special occasions, 7 days a week!

With a wide repertoire of songs, Craig has extensive experience in bringing the traditional music of Scotland to a range of events, including Burns Suppers, Birthday Parties, Funerals, Ceilidhs and Galas, among many others. But his speciality is weddings and the "skirl" of his bagpipes will add a special touch to your romantic day in Gretna Green...

The 2009 Braemar Royal Highland Gathering

Craig marched Langholm Pipe Band to victory at the 2009 Braemar Royal Highland Gathering where they were declared the best pipe band at the gathering. The Queen, who was accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh and Prince Charles, presented Craig with the winner's shield. See a clip of the band playing in the overseas tent here.

Craig's Big Adventure

Look out for Craig on UKTV's "Ty's Great British Adventure" airing this Spring. American TV star Ty Pennington and his makeover team visited Langholm to transform the historic Kiln Green and neglected castle grounds in to an open-air performance space with a renovated tourist centre and a music themed play area for children. Craig and Langholm Pipe Band were also featured in the official opening ceremony.
